Catena vinciens libertatem, aequalitatem, humanitatem
Gladius is a values-aligned governance and certification token on Algorand — directing capital and community toward entities demonstrably committed to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In 450 BC, Rome inscribed its laws on twelve bronze tablets and placed them in the Forum for all to see. Law became public. Justice became legible.
Twenty-five centuries later, capital flows freely across borders — yet largely without moral accountability. Markets reward profit. They are indifferent to the means by which it is obtained.
Gladius is a response to this indifference. It is a signal, a standard, and a civic commitment inscribed on an immutable public ledger.
Money is not neutral. Where capital flows is a moral choice. Gladius makes that choice visible.

Any company, organisation, or individual may apply for Civitas status — formal recognition as an ethical actor within the Gladius community.
AI assessment produces a continuous Dignitas score across five categories, with a full public audit trail and human Council oversight.
The Council — seven elected experts — provides human oversight. The Comitia, composed of $GLAD holders, governs the protocol.
Civitas entities and $GLAD holders signal their ethical commitment publicly and on-chain — visible to all, verifiable by all.
$GLAD is not a bet on price.
It is a bet on the possibility that capital, community, and conscience can move together.
